Our History

Founded in 1965, we've been delivering intelligent innovation for over 55 years, with 200+ business partners across sub-Saharan Africa, based on inclusivity and regional collaboration.

With a 55-year legacy in mission-critical communications, Sentiv traces its roots back to the South African operations of Motorola, later evolving through identities such as Alcom Systems, Alcom Matomo, Altech Alcom Matomo, and Altech Radio Holdings. In 2018, the company rebranded as Altron Nexus, reflecting its integration into the Altron Group. Today, as Sentiv, we honour this rich history while defining the future of intelligent, secure, and adaptive communications across Africa.

Tezene Saunders

Finance Director

Tezne brings over 15 years of executive financial leadership across media, telecoms, ICT, and regulated industries. Known for her strategic and analytical focus, she has led finance functions in listed and high-growth environments. She holds a BCom in Chartered Accounting from Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University.

Deon De Villiers

Chief of Sales

Deon leads Sales at Sentiv, bringing over 36 years of experience in radio, radar, ICT, and mining. He has built a strong track record in driving growth, customer engagement, and strategic sales across mission-critical sectors. His deep expertise in radio technologies underpins Sentiv’s leadership in secure, intelligent communications and IoT.

Vamisile Mavundla

Head of Human Capital

Vamisile brings over 15 years of HR leadership experience, driving performance, capability, and cultural transformation. She has led strategic HR functions across sectors and joined Sentiv in 2024. She holds an MBA and BCom Honours (HRM) from Wits, a BA in Psychology, and certifications in Labour Law and Skills Development from UNISA.

Chris Meyer

Head of Operations

Chris leads Operations at Sentiv, drawing on deep experience in managing complex delivery environments in telecoms and tech. Based in Cape Town, he oversees strategy execution, operational governance, and service delivery. His leadership ensures Sentiv consistently meets the high-performance demands of mission-critical communications and IoT clients.
